Hailing from New York City, Eleanor Happy received her Bachelor's degree from Vassar College in 2023 where she studied History and French and Francophone Studies. She had the wonderful experience of studying abroad at Reid Hall while she was an undergraduate and is thrilled to return as a HiLi student. She is continuing her undergraduate studies of colonial Algeria, concerning questions of community and identity under French-colonial administration. When she is not studying, she enjoys spending time with friends, watching a mix of crime dramas and various Real Housewives franchises, and playing the Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Above all, her favorite pastime is riding bikes around Paris and taking in the beauty of the city. In a perfect world, she would not kill every plant she has ever owned.
