Natalie graduated from the University of Michigan in 2018 with a B.A. in History and German. The last several years, she lived in Washington DC, where she supported programming in Central Europe and the Balkans focused on civic participation and good governance practices. Her research interests include the Frankfurt School, particularly the work of Walter Benjamin, Theodor Adorno, and Antonio Gramsci. Natalie plans to write her thesis on how literature and art are experienced as consumer products, and the commodification and standardization of artistic expression. In her free time, she likes to do yoga, drink tea, cook, bake, read, ride her bike, take long walks, and touch grass.
