Niko Angell-Gargiulo

Niko Angell-Gargiulo

Born and raised in Seattle, Niko Angell-Gargiulo graduated with a BA in liberal arts in 2020 from St. John’s College in Santa Fe, New Mexico. There she studied the great books of the western canon, from Plato to Heidegger, Homer to Woolf. With an eye towards working in publishing, she then attended the Columbia Publishing Course in summer of 2021 and hopes to work with short stories and translated works as an editor after graduating. Before arriving in Paris, Niko also spent time abroad living in Germany and Japan. At HiLi, her research interests are based in perfume and concepts of the sublime & their representations in nineteenth century literature. She spends her free time going to bookstores, wandering through markets, and attending literary events.
