Chloe Stella Rena Dumas

Chloe was born and raised in Paris. She graduated from McGill University with a double major in political sciences and French literature in 2022. After moving back to Paris, she interned for a year in the feminist publishing house Des femmes-Antoinette Fouque. She still works there to produce a book based on their archives and interviews with activists. In her free time, you will find her at the movies, on the boxing ring or writing in a café.

Her interests also include film studies, political thought, anthropology, art history, and contemporary philosophy. She gravitates towards questioning the body as a space of enlivened, visceral experiences across these various fields of study. In her master’s essay, she hopes to explore how representations of female bodies in feminist visual art and/or performances attempt at breaching the patriarchal system by confronting viewers with truths about women’s experiences as physical and perceptive bodies.
