Born and raised in Northern California, Victoria Korotchenko first began her academic journey at UC Santa Barbara, which she graduated from in 2023 with a B.A. in English, History, and Russian and Eastern European Studies, with a minor in Professional Editing. Now that she is in Paris with Columbia, she is excited to continue researching the everyday experiences of individuals during the Russian Revolution, specifically looking at drug and alcohol usage for her thesis. Outside of school, Victoria loves reading, playing tourist at art museums, and finding treasures at Parisian flea markets and brocantes on the weekends.
