Vivian graduated from Columbia University, Barnard College in Philosophy and Neuroscience. After a few years of working in New York, as a member of the writing staff for the office of the CEO of SAP, business software firm, she returned to her original city, Paris. She wandered around, scribbling on the back of coffee receipts, making a living through tutoring until she finally finished her first novel. She is now completing her HILI masters, working on the forgotten voices of female Persian poets, in anticipation for the next chapter.
