Duncan Allen was born and raised in San Diego, California. He studied architecture and anthropology at Bennington College. In 2022-2023, he lived in Normandy and taught English and German. Now in Paris, he is writing his thesis on the works of Thomas Mann.
He enjoys all music, Kaffeehauskultur, European literature, and the mountains. He is a devout fan of the San Diego Padres.
