Christian graduated from Wake Forest University in 2025 with a BA in Psychology and a minor in History. Growing up in New York City on the Upper West Side, he was very familiar with Columbia University’s main campus and what the university had to offer. Christian was fortunate enough to study in Paris during his junior year, and is incredibly thankful to be back for a second time.
For his HiLi thesis, Christian is expanding upon his work from undergrad concerning Middle Eastern history and how the west has distorted historical facts, cultures, and sub-cultures through an orientalist perspective. Specifically, he is writing about a microcosm of this effect, the misconstruction of the Nizari Ismailis in their various representations.
When not studying, he can often be found practicing guitar, watching TV shows, or simply walking around Paris.
