Lizzie graduated from Florida Atlantic University with a bachelor’s degree in history in 2019, followed by a Master’s degree in Global, International, and Comparative History in 2023. Her work has focused on the post-war period of decolonization, specifically in French West Africa. For her second Master’s thesis, she will continue to pursue questions raised about French West Africa in her previous thesis concerning labor practices, collective action, and the evolving nature of the French Empire. Outside of the classroom, Lizzie enjoys reading, watching tennis and basketball, and exploring new places.
