Madison Ford

After studying Comparative Literature and Italian at University of California, Davis, Madison loved the intersection of language and literary culture. To commemorate her final year at UC Davis, Madison completed an Honors Senior Thesis in Comparative Literature titled, “The Creature’s Curse in Pursuit of Companionship: A Comparative Analysis of Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein, John Milton’s Paradise Lost, and the myth of Echo and Narcissus.”

She is continuing her research on Mary Shelley and 19th century British literature, focusing on how the deaths of female characters represent the struggles of gender in socio-economic status and class. Overall, Madison is excited to expand her cultural awareness to French language and literature, and looks forward to spending an infinite amount of hours at Parisian parks and coffee shops!
